Oranhill Lodge B&B

Michael was an incredible host, and his wife makes delicious scones. They were so attentive and made sure we got the best start to our time in Ireland. The Oranhill Lodge apartment is lovely and private, and worth the higher price. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Ann and Michael were such kind, gracious hosts that we felt like part of the family. We’d love to return. The daily breakfast was delicious, especially the scones, and we also loved the beautiful front balcony. Oranhill Lodge B&B is just outside Oranmore village, a charming town about a 15 min drive or bus ride from Galway. We didn’t rent a car, but the bus stop just down the road made getting to and from the city easy. Our room was comfortable, well appointed and very quiet, with a lovely view of the front garden.

It was our first B&B stay, and it was even better than we expected. The house is cosy and feels like home, and the breakfast was delicious. Michael was lovely to talk to, gave us recommendations tailored to us, and really cared about making our Galway trip memorable. He and his family are great hosts. We’d love to come back if we’re in Galway again.

The traditional Irish breakfast was delicious, and the owner’s homemade scones were amazing, especially with the jam. If we hadn’t needed to continue our journey, we would gladly have stayed longer. We were welcomed by kind, attentive hosts who made us feel cared for right away. The house was warm, cosy and peaceful, with comfortable beds, perfect pillows and everything sparkling clean. Toiletries were provided, and the shower had great water pressure. We stayed just one night, but it truly felt like home. Thank you for the warm hospitality, it made our trip even more special ❤️
