The included breakfast was five-star, and I especially liked the very soft carpet and fancy soap. The host was friendly and kind, and the rooms and service were comfortable and high quality.

Ann really goes all out with breakfast, it was unbelievably delicious. We stayed two nights as a family of three, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Towels, tea, and coffee were replenished every day.

The apartment was quiet and we slept pretty well. It was clean, with a comfortable bed and reliably hot shower water. There was plenty of breakfast food, including eggs, bread, scones, cereal, tea, and coffee, plus lots of pots and pans for cooking. They even had Scrabble. Bring your own toiletries, though, and blackout curtains would help since the existing ones let in so much light that it felt like daylight at 05:45. Ann was very friendly and eager to help. There’s parking onsite, and we even saw the Northern Lights from the apartment door during our stay. The apartment has a lovely garden view and is about a 20-minute drive from Glendalough, with Rathdrum around five minutes away for restaurants, a shop, and other essentials. There’s also lots to do nearby.

Ann was an absolute joy. We found the apartment clean and well equipped, with internet, TVs, cooking utensils, and information about local attractions and places to eat. On arrival there was a greasy baked loaf of bread, scones, jam, eggs, cheese, milk, and cereal. It was just right for our getaway, with everything we needed. Set behind the B&B, it also has its own garden view and gives you privacy. It was more than we expected.
