Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

I came here for a wedding. The food was exquisite, the staff were sound, and everywhere was clean and neat. The pints were overpriced, though, and the bar didn't have enough staff. They ran out of Coors and nobody knew how to change the keg. The place could also do with some interior updating.

Myself and seven family members stayed in the self-catering homes last weekend and went to the Christmas party night, which was fantastic. On Saturday we met Kieran in the hotel bar. He was so friendly and bubbly, and a real credit to the hotel. He looked after us from when we arrived until his shift ended. Thanks for the excellent service, Kieran. The Swift bar service was the big letdown. It felt like there was no service at all, even though plenty of staff were milling around. We had to find our own menu and work out how to order, with no clear system. Staff didn't engage with us, so we could wait ten minutes even when the bar wasn't busy. I saw several complaints and got the sense other residents felt the same. There was a sign saying to wait to be seated, but nobody seated us. It seemed short on supervision and management. Once we managed to order, the food was okay and came promptly. The room itself was spacious, clean, and tidy, and the pool and steam room were great. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, though do get down before ten.

The venue looks lovely and has a lot of potential. The afternoon tea for six that we booked at Knightsbrook Hotel and Spa for my birthday got off to a disappointing start, as what we were first served wasn't what we'd expected. Emma and Eva completely turned things around with their professionalism, kindness, and effort. Knightsbrook Hotel is lucky to have them. Their high standards changed our minds: without them, the visit would have been ruined, and we were sure we wouldn't return. Now we'd consider coming back to try other services.
