The bartender who checked us in was so welcoming and helped with parking, then showed us to our room. We were there during the Pucá Festival, when Trim was really busy, and could walk everywhere from this great location. I’d happily stay again.

The locals are really friendly, and the Guinness is excellent. Of the many bars in Trim, this one has a little something different about it. Service and location were good too. I didn’t stay overnight, so can’t comment on the accommodation. Well worth a visit.

The room was spotless, and the bathroom looked very modern, but the place was being redecorated and the shower head sat too low. That’s what held my rating back. Parking is limited, and there’s no breakfast. The cafe across the way is closed on Sundays, though there’s a nice cafe at Trim Castle hotel, just a two-minute walk away.

From outside it looks tiny, but once you’re in, it seems to stretch across the whole town. Lovely pints and food, with great craic.
