Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort

We found a great deal for the hotel through Rorys Travel Club. Our stay at Tulfarris was relaxing, with excellent food and helpful staff. The bright room had a balcony over the golf course, which I hadn't expected, and a huge bathroom with an extra large walk-in shower. A facial with Sandra helped me relax and feel like I was on holiday, and my skin looks much better. One drawback was the noise in the open-plan bar and restaurant when they got busy. Some sound-absorbing materials might help. Otherwise, the stay was perfect.

We really enjoyed our short break. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was amazing, with wonderful views. Booking into the spa made the experience even better. The location was great too.

The room was just right, with a very comfortable bed, and both the bedrooms and dining room looked out over the lovely golf course. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel is in a beautiful location. Still, the food let us down overall. Dinner at the fairways restaurant was average, and the starter options felt very limited: spicy soup that not everyone can digest, pork terrine that some religions forbid, or cured salmon and goats cheese mousse, both tastes I haven't acquired. My salmon main was fine, but my husband's beef was disappointing. Breakfast tea was my biggest gripe. It was so bad I asked for a clean cup so I could have some of my husband's coffee instead. This was our second stay at Tulfarris, but unfortunately the issues above mean it'll be our last.

The breakfast room had spectacular views, and the artwork throughout was especially beautiful. Our bedroom was spacious and lovely, and we didn't want to leave. My partner and I had such an enjoyable night at Tulfarris. Everyone we met was welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived, and the bar service was excellent. We had food in the bar, and it was delicious. We'll definitely be back, and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
