Sals Bed and Breakfast

We slept really well in a big, spacious room that was warm and comfortable. Michael gave us a lovely welcome, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. The price is hard to beat. I’ve stayed at all the hotels in Waterford, and this has been the best so far. Highly recommend it, Danielle and Joe will be back.

The room and bathroom were clean and presentable, so it worked fine for a night’s sleep. The B&B is basic, and the carpets need replacing because they’re worn and stained. Michael is a lovely, helpful host, and the location is very central.

Years ago, I stayed here with my little girls, one of whom has special needs. They were laughing and jumping on the bed late because they couldn’t sleep in the unfamiliar surroundings. After I’d paid good money to stay, he called social services on me. I was completely gobsmacked. I’ve stayed in Waterford plenty of times since, but after that experience I wouldn’t go near this place even if I were paid to.

Whenever I’m in Waterford, I try to stay here. The location is fabulous, and Michael is the loveliest host, friendly and so accommodating. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable and spotlessly clean, and there’s a private bathroom with a nice shower. The breakfast is the best in Waterford by far, with really good quality food.
