I’m outside in the cold, exhausted and hungry, and the emergency weekend number isn’t answering. After a 36-hour flight, being stranded outside Riverwalk is an absolute nightmare. When I booked, the receptionist specifically told me she’d leave the key with security so this wouldn’t happen. The security control room says the security guy will arrive at 6pm and that I should deal with it.
Even the picture frame was rusty, and there was mold everywhere along with the smell of chlorine mold remover. The place was so disgusting I left without unpacking. My belongings, even my hair, ended up smelling of that remover. Drinking the tap water once ruined my bottle, and just being inside made me feel sick. I’m also pretty sure they delete negative reviews, since some I’d seen have disappeared.
I spent three weeks at Riverwalk Apartments and had no problems. The setup is good: each apartment has several rooms plus a dining area with a kitchen, and everyone gets their own room and toilet. I was surprised by how good the quality was, and my stay was 10/10.
Security seemed to think it was fine to let themselves in with a master card, without being invited. Other residents say this happens regularly. Reception was shocking too, very rude and unhelpful. And this accommodation isn’t actually affiliated with SETU at all.
