Ocean View Penthouse, The Harbour Mill, Westport

The apartment itself is clean and well kept, and its owners are wonderful people. I've lived there for over a year and a half. It's a purchased apartment now and no longer part of the hotel. The atmosphere outside the apartment brings constant noise, even at night, and it's hard to get enough sleep.

We had 26 people across a few apartments for New Year's Eve, and there was plenty of space in one living area for everyone to gather for drinks before dinner. The apartments are very large, spotless, and warm, with comfortable beds and all the expected amenities, including a full cooker. Our living room window also had a beautiful view. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. It's staffed 24 hours, so we could leave the key there when heading out and not worry about it. We had a great time, and I’d easily recommend the place to anyone.

The views are amazing and the location is perfect. Parking might be difficult at busy times, so keep that in mind. Staff were helpful and attentive, and I liked the little details, like heated bathroom mirrors that don't steam up. A phone compatible speaker for music could be a nice addition. We really enjoyed our stay.

The shampoo seemed diluted, and there was no WiFi signal or Three mobile data. The kettle and mug made me wonder whether I could actually make tea or coffee. The electrical appliances, furniture, parquet, tiles, and shower were all very old, and there was a bad smell. Four stars? No way, I’d give it two at most.
