John makes fresh brown bread each morning, hot and delicious, the best we had on our trip. Breakfast is made to order, too. Mary and John made everything easy and comfortable, even offering us a lift to the church for our friends' wedding. When we checked in, Mary gave us a map and a helpful introduction to Youghal's history and layout. We had a five-star stay at Avonmore and would absolutely come back if we're in Youghal again.

The views stretch across the lake towards the mountains, and the food is first class. It was a wonderful place to unwind and feel like lords of the manor, at a very reasonable price.

The hosts were so helpful, and the breakfast was fab. The rooms were warm and had smart TVs, which made this work trip feel like home. Hope I can stay again.

We booked at the last minute because of difficult circumstances, and Mary and John made us feel at home straight away. The guest house is beautiful, and our clean room had all the useful bits: a TV, hair dryer, mini fridge, and a table and chairs where we could work out our next route on the map. We slept like logs in the very comfortable beds, and the power shower was a great way to wake up. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. John has poached eggs down to an art, and Mary was so welcoming, kind and friendly, as was her sidekick in the kitchen. We'd happily recommend the guest house to everyone.
