Kami Suites Hotel

Kami has a calm, contemporary minimalist style, and the rooms felt comfortable and personal. The vegan breakfast and other food options were both tasty and healthy. I also appreciated the hotel’s sustainability focus and its use of locally sourced materials. It’s a charming boutique vegan hotel and a memorable, comfortable choice for an eco-friendly getaway. I’d highly recommend it.

We expected a quieter, more private stay in such a remote spot, but our room was right by the entrance and lobby. We could hear couples checking in, making coffee, and other activity. That affected our score more than anything else. The view of the sea of Galilee is great and the place is nice, but it wasn’t clean, with hair in the hot tub, and the walls were peeling. Better maintenance could fix those issues, though the lack of privacy was the main disappointment.

If you’re comfortable finding your own way around a spacious, beautiful home, you may really enjoy Kami. It seems to be a restored, enormous house high above Galilee, with five large, nicely decorated rooms and wow-worthy views. There’s room to spread out and relax, and it was nice being away from the noise of Tiberas/Safed while still close enough for sightseeing. The winding approach climbs to a peak in a suburban area. The owner is reachable by WhatsApp but isn’t on site, and this isn’t a full-service hotel. The front desk is unstaffed, so it might be better advertised as a vrbo or airbnb. Cooks arrive at 9am to make a delightful vegan breakfast. More contact before arrival would have made check-in better. You can’t see #26 behind the trees, and there’s no sign identifying Kami. After entering the door code, push the door right away. Parking is at the end of the street. The area feels safe, though staff didn’t always lock the doors after tidying the rooms. There was daytime construction next door, but it wasn’t a major disturbance.

Best spa vacation ever. For once, I didn’t have a single moment of complaining to myself. They thought about every little detail, and I can’t think of one thing to improve. Just perfect.
