Nofey Gonen Holiday Village

A quiet setting and a great pool make this a place I’d highly recommend for a family getaway or couples retreat. Breakfast was awesome, though dinner was a challenge because there weren’t many other food options.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained, the pool is great, and the staff were friendly and responsive. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. I’m giving it four stars because during the Sukkot holiday and Shabbat, there were no coffee machines in the dining room, so getting a decent espresso wasn’t possible. Hotels, including kosher ones, should find a way to give non-religious guests who pay a premium access to proper coffee on Shabbat and holidays.

There was plenty for all of us to enjoy in the area. We were three families traveling together with lots of kids, and we went white water rafting, hiked up mountain streams, and spent the day hanging out at the pool. Every cabin also has a grill and picnic table. The place is newly renovated and really well designed, with new fittings in the rooms and no mildew in the showers. It may be brand new, though I’m not sure, but it seemed better maintained than some five-star places I’ve stayed in Israel. The staff and service were wonderful, and breakfast was a good, solid spread with plenty of healthy choices. Just a wonderful place on so many levels.
