The food was delicious, plentiful, kosher mehadrin, and had lots of choices. Even with three events happening at once and a crowded dining room, things worked out. The rooms are plain rather than upscale, but comfortable and practical, with shaded patios and tables and chairs, just right for a beach stay. We loved the sunset from the two stone piers reaching out over the water. The little private beach is sheltered, with cushioned wigwam-style tents behind it and shaded chairs nearer the shore. There’s a Gymboree for rainy or very hot days, plus a playground for nicer weather. A lovely spot for an easy family break at any age. The staff were a bit disorganized, though they did try to help and were patient with my tricky booking of five rooms: two for couples with toddlers, and one using a miluimnik voucher. There were a couple of problems in two rooms, including a toilet that wouldn’t flush, but the handyman came to sort them out. I’ve seen last year’s negative reviews, and that response seems reasonable. The hotel has a new manager. I’d happily recommend it and hope we can come back next year.
