Crowne Plaza Haifa by IHG

The TV in my room didn't work, and the tech staff said there was nothing they could do. They suggested bringing a computer and HDMI cable if you want to use the screen. The lobby bar had no cocktails and didn't seem interested in mixing drinks. On the plus side, the front desk staff were wonderful, and the location is great, near the zoo, the underground train and lots of restaurants.

The hotel is managed by IHG and owned by Mano Maritime. It's an established property in good condition, built into the slope of Mount Carmel. The entrance to the lobby is at street level on the ninth floor, and the tenth floor is the highest one guests can access. The view across Haifa Bay is stunning, and the location is excellent.

The rooms and hotel feel worn and overdue for renovation, and the soundproofing is poor. During my stay they changed the door locks without telling me. I only discovered it late at night when I got back and couldn't get in, and the lock looked different. I booked specifically for the gym, but it's really a small shelter room with old, broken equipment, as shown in the picture. Breakfast had a decent selection, and I found free street parking outside in December 2025. I wouldn't stay again.

Our whole group was met with hostility, and the front desk staff looked visibly angry both times I saw them, though it didn't seem to be about me. Several people had room issues, including clogged sinks and keys that didn't work. Breakfast was mediocre, with baked goods that were all too dense. The fitness room was in shambles and half the equipment was broken. None of us would come back.
