Zohar's Apartment

We loved the stay and would happily come back. The little apartment had everything we needed, and the neighborhood felt friendly. Zohar was welcoming, kind, and helpful, always attentive without getting in our way.

We felt at home with the owner, who was kind, generous, friendly, and always ready to help. He also makes a delicious breakfast. Ask him to try the best falafel in Haifa! The apartment is on the ground floor and has parking right outside and a washing machine. There’s a great kitchen with a table, a nice bathroom, and a lounge with a single bed. A curtain separates that area from the other side, where there’s a double bed and another single bed. We walked about 20 minutes uphill to the Baha'i Gardens. It was very hot that day, so bring water and a hat. Ladies should remember to cover their shoulders and knees. The views are magnificent. You’ll need to drive to Yefe Nof Street, a pretty road with wonderful views of Haifa and the gardens.

The larger apartment felt very homey and had plenty of space. There’s a full kitchen with a gas stove and a well-stocked fridge, plus a computer with internet, a TV above the bed with Netflix and YouTube, and a washing machine. We couldn’t work out how to use the washer, so when we asked, they took our pile of clothes and did the laundry for us. Zohar treats you like a kind, generous grandad, even coming in to make breakfast himself. He brought eggs, fresh-squeezed orange juice, humus, vegetables, fruit, salads, and kept adding more food and urging us to eat. There was enough for breakfast, lunch, and maybe dinner too. It’s a few blocks from a bus route, but in the morning they’re happy to drive you wherever you need to go. The neighborhood is very quiet at night, with a fresh produce market and falafel shop just down the street.

The place was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The owner was friendly and generous, and made us a lovely breakfast or brunch.
