Sharon Hotel Herzliya

What a treat! The dining room staff were always bringing things with a smile, and the staff overall were lovely. We especially appreciated Weesam, who cleaned our room so carefully and was kind, patient, and understanding with the children. He brought us everything we needed and always smiled as if it were no trouble.

The breakfast is included and really good, with plenty of healthy choices, so come hungry. The hotel is right on the beach in the heart of Hertzliya, and there's a decent pool for days you don't feel like heading to the shore. Parking costs extra, though there are some free spots nearby. The location is great, and the price is fairly reasonable compared with other hotels close by.

Alon and Gabby at the front desk were especially polite and helpful during my stay. The hotel sits on the beach, with lovely views and easy access to the shoreline for a morning walk or run. Breakfast is nice and worth paying for in advance. For the price, it's a good hotel.

The location by the beach is the one thing this hotel has going for it. It's old and very dated, with chipping walls, and it didn't seem particularly environmentally friendly. I stayed six nights and seldom write negative reviews, but the staff were rude and unhelpful, apart from one trainee in the lobby and a young blond girl at the bar. For what I paid, I'd expect at least a smile. At checkout, nobody asked how the stay had been. When I said breakfast wasn't ready at 7 and I couldn't eat, debbie replied, "whatever." Breakfast costs a fortune and doesn't justify the price.
