I’m Henry, 15, and I was born with autism spectrum disorder. It can make it hard to understand the world around me, but I understand my disability and am making progress in learning to manage it. I recently visited Tadmor about a possible future school place. I’m really interested in the hotel business and love cooking. I left shocked by how the head teachers treated me. In the interview, I explained who I am and about my disability, and they said, “We are real teachers and we do NOT teach kids with special needs.” I found that disgusting and ignorant. People should be respected for who they are, whatever they were born with, as long as they’re good. The kitchens and dining room were in a terrible state too. The kitchen floors were dirty, dusty, covered with cockroaches, and smelled so bad I nearly vomited. The dining room tables were only cleaned three days after a party or occasion. The building looked like it had just been through hurricane Irma. As I was leaving, one of the head teachers said the hotel’s rating was going down and the government might consider closing the hotel and school. That could affect the students badly, as they might lose the chance to build their future careers and get work experience. In my opinion, I wouldn’t send your child to this school because it could be a big risk. I hope this review helps.
