For what I wanted, Cozy Garden was excellent value for its location, and I’d stay there again. The host was welcoming and explained how everything worked when we arrived. We only used the well-equipped kitchen to make a hot drink. Be aware of the setup before booking: it’s like staying in a stranger’s home with other guests, and the bathroom is shared hostel-style. The lived-in house has a cluttered, partly museum-like feel. There’s a popular garden balcony or terrace reached by a narrow staircase. The roof is crowded with plants and old lawn furniture, giving it a rustic, charming feel. From there, the views of the old city, Church of the Dormition abbey, and Mt of Olives from Mt. Zion are breathtaking. The room was large, with a TV, air conditioner, fan and plenty of lights.

Roni is nice, and the place is pleasant. Just know that it’s a large private house with three rooms and shared bathrooms. A clean room with Jerusalem character, and a good choice if you mainly need somewhere to rest.
