Cramim by Isrotel exclusive

My wife and I booked Isrotel’s Cramim spa hotel through American Express Travel and stayed there in January 2026. After checking out, we found charges we hadn’t approved. At check-in they copied our US passports and the tourist card from the airport. When we left, we received an invoice and approved one charge for $343. Afterward, two more amounts, $317 and $128, were charged to the American Express card they had on file. We told American Express, and the hotel quickly issued a partial credit of $213 toward one of them. I’ve been disputing the rest with American Express. The hotel now says the remaining balance of the two charges is VAT, but we aren’t supposed to pay VAT. The hotel hasn’t credited it, and American Express has been ridiculous about it. I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on Amex cards, and this roughly $233 the hotel is taking has driven me crazy. I still dispute it, and feel like we’re victims while American Express lets them get away with it. Isrotel, the parent company, and Cramim spa gave me the worst hotel experience of my life.

A lovely place to unwind, with several pools, including one indoors, and lots of good quality food in the restaurant. The staff are helpful and very nice. I’d recommend this spa hotel.

The hotel seemed well kept and was decent, and the food was okay. The main trouble was the crowds: the pool was so full that we had to wait for space, and at meal times the dining room was packed, with lines for the fresh meat.

I was disappointed with both the hotel’s safety and its customer service. I recommend that they bring in a safety consultant and a customer service consultant.
