Jrose Hotel

The bathroom door was semi-transparent and didn’t seal at the top, so my wife could see most of me while I was on the toilet right beside the bed. Quite the “romantic experience.” We also found the blankets very small. When we asked for another at night, the night staff said there weren’t any; in the morning, the manager said they had more but the night shift didn’t know where they were. That was dumb. The hotel is new, clean, and nicely designed, with comfortable beds and very nice staff. It’s in a great location, too. I’m sure they’ll get the small issues sorted out with time.

There’s no bomb shelter in the hotel, which felt like an important thing to know. The room was cramped for two, with nowhere to open our luggage, and the decor looked a little tacky. The lobby was nice, though the lift’s odd design means it doesn’t arrive at your floor.

The place is clean and pretty, and the location and service were both great. We also had a good breakfast at the bakery nearby.

George really made our stay. He was courteous, always smiling, and clearly cared about how things were going. He listened to us and took our experience seriously, which you can’t take for granted. The rest of the staff were lovely too. The hotel is small, new, and charming, in a perfect spot that’s close to everything and easy to get around from. Our room was little, but beautifully decorated and very clean, and it suited us perfectly. They’re still renovating, so a few small things in the room show that work is ongoing. It didn’t have much effect on our stay. We had a great time, and I’m sure this charming place has plenty of room to grow and succeed.
