Legacy Hotel

The hotel is clean and very nice, with large rooms and a really good free breakfast. Great cappuccinos, too. It’s about a block and a half from the Old City, and the light rail is roughly 100 feet away. The usual twin beds could use an update to queen or king size.

We loved our stay, though getting into the hotel was a hassle. There’s only a set of stairs and no ramp, so we had to carry all 28 pieces of luggage up and down when checking in and out. The breakfast staff were also rude when we arrived at 9.30am, even though breakfast ends at 10am. Aside from that, it was a beautiful experience. Service was top notch: we got complimentary water and fruit at the start, the staff helped take our luggage to the rooms and settle us in, and the receptionist was very friendly. The rooms were cosy, spacious, and comfortable, and room service cleaned them well every day. It wasn’t very busy, so the lifts were always free. The restaurant area looked smart and had lots of food choices.

I’m writing so other guests know what happened: my watch was stolen from my hotel room. Management and staff told me they investigated but found no outcome, then stopped replying to me. The safe in the closet never worked, even after I asked staff twice to fix it, so I couldn’t put my watch away. It was a very sentimental piece of jewelry, and I’m upset. Please be aware before booking.

The service was amazing, and the fifth-floor restaurant is a must. The food was the best, fresh and tasty, and the 3D view of Jerusalem made dining there a real experience. The location is convenient for visiting holy places or shopping in the old city, all within walking distance. They can also help arrange a tour. I’ll never forget our stay at the Legacy hotel. Highly recommend it!
