Scots House Hotel

For my wife's birthday, I booked a night here expecting something pleasant. We arrived around 10 p.m. and found mosquitoes all over the room. The staff said they had no repellent and couldn't offer any other solution. We were being bitten constantly within an hour, so we left in the middle of the night, having paid 983 shekels. At reception, I was told the manager would get in touch about a refund. Nobody called. When I followed up the next day, they said the night receptionist hadn't found a mosquito in the room, so they wouldn't refund anything. Being charged nearly 1,000 shekels for a room full of mosquitoes, getting no help, and then having what happened dismissed was completely unacceptable. The service felt unprofessional, cold, and disrespectful. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. If you care about your comfort, health, or basic customer care, stay far away.

The garden and terrace had breathtaking views, and being able to park there was a big plus. The grounds felt peaceful and comfortable, a lovely place to unwind after a day out. I could get to all the tourist attractions easily while still enjoying a quiet setting. Breakfast was included and gave me a nice start to the morning. I had a wonderful stay at St. Andrews Guesthouse in Jerusalem.

There are several small, well-kept gardens behind the hotel, and breakfast is a modest buffet with a nice range of well-prepared food. The rooms have been renovated recently and were clean and comfortable. We'll definitely come back if we're in Jerusalem again. Just keep in mind there's no elevator, so this guest house won't suit anyone who has trouble with stairs.
