Maagan Kibbutz Holiday Village

The region is truly beautiful, and getting around to Sea of Galilee sights and other attractions was easy. We were busy enough that we didn't explore the rest of the grounds, though everything we needed was an easy walk away. Our room had a nice living area, a little kitchen space with a refrigerator, microwave and sink, plus an adequate bathroom and a roomy bedroom. Storage was fine for a tourist stay. The resort also has a large cafeteria that can seat several big groups, along with a small shop for necessities and snacks. The lobby and reception are spacious and attractive, with room nearby for an informal meeting if needed.

We had a family vacation here and the setting was wonderful, with a private beach on the Sea of Galilee and a great pool area. The rooms are basic, but clean and looked after. There’s a grill outside each one, and loud music isn’t allowed. It’s more of a simple kibbutz stay than a resort or boutique place, but the location and facilities make up for that.

The kids, ages 7, 11 and 15, loved having the freedom to wander around on their own since the resort is enclosed and secure. They had a blast at the kids club, liked the video game room, and the night shows were great without the activities feeling overdone. We had an amazing family holiday, with beautiful scenery and warm, smiling staff who kept trying to make things good for guests. The location was handy for unexpected needs or shopping. I even found a place to fix my cell phone just a five minute drive away. Happy kids made us happy too :)

The property was quiet and right on the Sea of Galilee, with separate cabin-style buildings for the rooms. Inside, though, our room felt old and basic. There were lots of bugs, and we had to call maintenance to clear a dead rat from outside our door.
