Lishansky Since 1936

The meal cost us NIS 600, including NIS 105 for a lasagne that was barely edible. It was made with soggy sheets of matzo, burned at the edges, topped with tomato paste, and had bits of mushroom and spinach between the layers. We'd eaten at different restaurants all week, and this was the worst value for money. We'll never go back. My husband had fish, which was fine; one son had OK gnocchi, and the other got so-called osso bucco, a lamb bone rather than the usual veal, with very little meat. The waiter strongly recommended the Kosher for Passover lasagne and also pushed the salads as a starter, calling them “traditional Lishansky recipes.” They were average at best and had too much vinegar. The half bottle of very heavy wine he recommended was included in the bill. We ended up here during Passover after walking in because the restaurant we'd wanted was full. From outside the building looked very uninviting; inside it had 1920s/1930s-style furnishings. The menu said it had been going for 80 years. Visited April 2015

The price was good and breakfast was included. Klara gave us first-class hospitality and worked hard to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We'll be back!

We had dinner and breakfast at this cozy boutique hotel. The personal service was friendly, and the food was better than we expected. We enjoyed both the starters and the main dishes.

The room was large and functional, with rather old decor and furniture. Decent accommodation, just don't expect anything fancy.
