Tabar Hotel

The hotel is family-run, with 50 pleasant, clean rooms and a nice atmosphere. Service was excellent. Downstairs there's a small restaurant for lunch and dinner. Dinner was nice, if not amazing, and breakfast is served off the lobby. It offers a good selection of vegetables, freshly baked pita, and regular bread. The hot drinks were the weak spot: instant coffee and only one basic tea weren't good enough. It's in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the old city. Walking down takes about 20 minutes, but getting back is difficult since buses are infrequent and no taxis were available. I'd still return, though it might be worth offering a paid shuttle.

This is a quiet spot to unwind and refresh, with great views of Nazareth from the upper floors. The rooms are medium-sized, clean, and practical. It doesn't have the upscale feel or higher star level of other hotels, but the hospitality is unusually warm. The personal way they handle things makes it feel like staying in a family home.

A decent place for a night in Nazareth, where baby Jesus was born. The area is largely residential, with plenty of local shops and little roads. The food and service were both decent.

The room we were given, in my opinion, shouldn't have been assigned at all. It was completely unpresentable and unlivable. Mold and dirt in many places made the bathroom unhygienic and impractical, and there was nowhere by the sink to put soap or anything else. The waiters were rude and unavailable, and the bottle of water was priced absurdly. It was a terrible experience. See the enclosed photos. Avoid this place.
