Nes Ammim Hotel

The main courses were generous, and the salads at breakfast and dinner were good. I went half board, and it’s worth trying to be served soon after a new selection is put out. The chef seemed enthusiastic. This is a kibbutz hotel with communal dining. My room had effective air conditioning, and the basic linen and bathroom were comfortable. Staff and volunteers were polite and got things done. Upgrading it substantially would take a huge effort and could hurt the multicultural feel that draws families and Birthright groups. If it’s maintained and improved in line with the country’s standard of living, non-Israelis could get an upmarket youth hostel experience here.

The green gardens and peaceful feel were lovely, and the location was good. Rooms are basic but comfortable, though some may have a slightly old smell. The pool was nice, even if the manager was rude. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Racheli. The food was very good, with plenty of variety and fresh options. There’s a nice lobby, though it’s not large.

The dining room was spacious and tidy, and the food was a very good standard with plenty for everyone to choose from. Reception staff were courteous and quick, as were the dining room staff. You can get a voucher for entry to the country in the nearby Kibbutz Evron, and there’s a large free parking lot next door. The buildings are spread across green spaces, and the rooms are clean, roomy, and comfortable, with good beds and showers. It’s a resort hotel and a good place for families with children. We’ll come back.

The rural grounds are beautiful, and there’s good food on site. The rooms feel bright and pleasant, with basic but adequate equipment. It works well for groups. There’s a pool table and a small bar area by reception. The staff were excellent and well presented. The buildings aren’t fancy, but they have a charm of their own.
