Kikar Boutique Hotel

The location is convenient, but it gets very loud late into the night. The place is more than just dated: the showers don't work properly, there’s mold in the AC units, the floors and walls are filthy, and half the light switches don't work.

Neglected is the word for this dirty, depressing hotel. The front facade is crumbling, and the “presidential suite” was dirty and in disrepair. Its door wouldn't lock consistently.

I only booked a night at the Kikar because I needed somewhere to sleep in Netanya. The bed and bathroom seemed fairly clean, but the room was tiny and needed a facelift, with peeling paint and corroded metal fixtures. The public areas could use renovation too. I'd only return if I couldn't find a reservation at another hotel nearby.

The noise went on late into the night, and a leaking pipe kept us awake. Our room was very dirty when we arrived, and there was no cleaning service during the stay. The beds were uncomfortable, and they gave us just two small, awful pillows, refusing to provide more. They also charged 300 shekels for a second person in the room, and the staff were incredibly rude. For close to £200 a night, there are definitely better places in Netanya. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at. At best, it feels like a one-star hostel advertised as a high-end boutique hotel.
