Dekel Guesthouse - Hotel Ramat Gan

It felt like a real home away from home. The rooms aren't the Hilton, but the price isn't either. As someone who travels to Israel often, I've had good and bad stays, and dekel house was a real exception. The hosts are genuinely warm, the garden is amazing, and they even gave me some vegetables grown there for dinner. There's also the best sabich in israel just around the corner. This guest house really does make you feel welcome, and I highly recommend it.

The hostess is warm and accommodating, and makes you feel right at home. She has a real knack for gardening and would be happy to teach you a thing or two, with plenty of organic herbs you're free to pick. It's a lovely choice if you want to be in the city while still enjoying a quiet, countryfied atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

Be very careful here. Rina is a very shrewd businesswoman, just one step above a scam artist. She'll lie over the phone about the room's size and quality, then once you arrive and are stuck there, she'll quickly get all your money out of your pocket. There's no proper place to cook, even though she says there is. No cutlery, plates, cooking equipment, nothing. You will starve here. There isn't even an iron. Just horrible single beds, at 200 shekels a night for the smallest room, going up to 3-400 shekels for the larger ones. You're basically guaranteed to get ripped off by this woman. I promise you, you will. She's good, she's good.
