Tuscana cabins

I’m still at the tsimmer and felt I had to write this now. I’ve stayed in lots of tsimmers and never reviewed one before, because I’d always been happy and just carried on. This visit has been so awful that I can’t let it go. If I could give the room, service, and location no stars, I would. We’re a family of four and I’d asked ahead for the big tsimmer by name. There are three here, two small and one large, and I was told the larger one was available. That’s why we came. But when we arrived, the owners weren’t there. A boy took our money and left. I’m used to meeting the owners and getting a good feeling when I arrive, and that matters to me. Then I saw that the key was for one of the small tsimmers. I went to look at the big one and saw clothes on the porch, so I understood we’d been cheated. I called the owner to say this was wrong. The man said he was sorry and had made a mistake, but I didn’t believe him. He offered only 100 shekels back. If he’d been honest, I think he would have offered much more, and shown more respect for his guests. I said I’d think about it, since we’d travelled so far as a family and it was my daughter’s birthday. We didn’t know what to do. Then my husband opened a cabinet and found a trashcan full of rubbish and bottles. That was the last straw for him. He asked the owner for all the money back so we could leave, and only then did the owner offer 200 shekels back. They put us in a terrible situation, which shouldn’t happen when you pay a lot for a vacation. In the end we stayed and tried to make the best of it. The room had plenty of other problems. There was nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower except on a small chair. The glass shower door only covered half the opening, and the drain was so poor that water ran out. A towel on the floor didn’t stop it, and the whole bathroom flooded every time we showered. The bedroom mirror was broken, which feels like bad luck to me. My husband is 1.82, like many men, and his feet stuck out past the bed. He was so angry he wanted to sleep on the couch, but it was even smaller. They’re so cheap. Everywhere else we’ve stayed in a tsimmer there’s been milk and water in the fridge, but here there was nothing, so my husband had to go buy them. I’d read reviews last night about bugs and cockroaches, and then spotted a cockroach inside the tsimmer by the door. I was scared to sleep. It’s sad to spend money on a vacation and end up suffering. Please don’t rely on the positive reviews. You could get screwed and treated and made to suffer like I was.
