Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rehovot

I spent three nights here recently. The room they gave me smelled of smoke, so I asked to switch. They changed it reluctantly to a lower room class and promised to move me to the class I'd booked. The following day they said none of the reserved class rooms were available. Front desk staff were grumpy throughout and not helpful. The so-called gym is a tiny room without ventilation. Cleanliness is questionable too, with torn, dirty carpets in the shared areas. Avoid staying here if you can.

I checked in at night, alone with my toddler after a long day. The receptionist told me that many guests had complained that day, and that no room changes were possible because the hotel was full. The night guard also said one elevator was unsafe. In the room we found a huge pile of dirty sheets and towels on the floor. It felt like a cheap day-use room, not a hotel. No other rooms were available, so I took an immediate refund and left that night.

This is a small business hotel with spacious rooms. It's kosher, so it won't suit anyone who can't do without meat, though I can 🙂. Ilija, the manager, is very friendly. There's a business lounge where you can take an afternoon break with coffee and a small snack. Children generally aren't allowed, so it's reliably peaceful.

The rooms are really nice, and breakfast is a feast. The hotel is near the train station, with a grocery store and food options right outside.
