Overstay TLV Hostel

The roof terrace was a fun place to watch something on TV at night. The World Cup was on while I was there, and we all watched the England - Colombia game. The neighbourhood may look rough, but it felt friendly and kind, and if you get lost, you can ask for directions without worrying. It's easy to find, comfortable, super friendly, and cheap, all great things for a backpackers hostel. I stayed for a week and would definitely recommend it. The staff are busy and understaffed, so they can seem stressed and don't always have time to chat, but when they do, they're very friendly. If you just need somewhere to sleep while making your own plans in Tel Aviv, this works well. You can come and go freely, and it's quiet and easy to sleep during the day. Be patient with the staff, they don't need more stress.

A few services were especially useful: laundry, though it was hang dry only, bike rentals, breakfast, shared cabs, and upcoming events. The bathrooms were kept surprisingly clean for so many people, and everyone was respectful while we were there. It's a really cool, hip place with helpful, friendly staff. Good for getting clean and comfortable on a budget if you're okay with a communal, social atmosphere, which is what the place is built around. One thing to know, if you book the tent, it really is a tent on the roof. It's nice they offer different kinds of accommodation, but check the weather. We stayed a couple nights and had a great time.

The atmosphere among the staff and guests was amaaaaazing, and the simple breakfast was better than what other hostels offer at similar rates. This was the cheapest place too, which is what first drew me in, but it's totally worth it. Best hostel in Israel, trust me, I've stayed at plenty of others and even did CS. I'll definitely be back! :D

It’s not the prettiest hostel, but it’s clean and has a great atmosphere. Josh, who runs the bar, did a great job bringing people together. I’d recommend it to backpackers hoping to have fun and meet friends.
