The only small downside is the pool closes at 6 pm, so if you’re out all day, you need to be back by 5 pm to swim. The freshwater heated pool is amazing!! The grounds are beautiful, the place is quaint, and the original historic rooms are a nice size. The beds are so comfy, the staff are amazing, and the food they cook for guests is off the chain!!!!! Love, love, love it. If I ever come back to Israel, I’m staying here!

The breakfast was delicious and breathtaking, with so much to choose from, though I had a small stomach :) I arrived last night to a clean room set at 19 Celsius, which felt so welcoming after it had been 35 outside all day. It’s nice when the hotel staff think ahead about how the room should feel. I’d recommend it.

The staff responded quickly when we needed something, and there was ample parking across the road. The room’s interior design was nice, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. We were two adults and a teen, and the hotel arranged things so we could move around easily. Breakfast was varied, like a typical boutique hotel breakfast, without being extravagant. The bread seemed industrial rather than bakery bread. The pool was adequate in the off-season when we visited in late April, though it might be challenging at the height of the season. I’ve stayed in a range of Tiberias hotels, and this was the best among those without access to the Sea of Galilee. One thing to sort out on arrival if you have specific bureaucratic needs: I made the reservation, then my partner gave them another credit card, but for some reason they couldn’t explain, the checkout bill showed my details even though payment came off the other card.

The historic character of the building also carries through to the rooms, in a good way. Our corner suite on the top floor was beautiful, spotless, and had an excellent view of the Sea of Galilee. We’re pretty neurotic about cleanliness, and it was 100% clean. Service was nice, and breakfast was good.

We expected too much. Our short stay was our first and last: this didn’t feel like a boutique hotel. The Friday night dinner food was cold, despite supposedly being from a chef’s restaurant. The rooms didn’t match what was displayed on Booking.com, and the room type wasn’t as described. The coffee machine capsules cost extra for some reason. The pool is tiny, about 3*3, and the pool area has only 5 chairs, so there isn’t much space. The design is only okay, and they’ve paid no attention to the finishing touches. For Jewish religious people it’s probably as good as it gets, but not for everyone else.
