Royal Plaza Hotel

The hotel looks a bit tired from outside, but everything inside was amazing. Hammudi gave us wonderful service, quietly upgrading our room and even arranging a sweet birthday poster and gift. We stayed for a couple of midweek days and highly recommend it.

We came for a weekend and found a clean, tidy room that suited a couple. Reception welcomed us kindly, and the staff were kind throughout. The outdoor pool is large and clean, while the dining room is spacious and neat. Food quality was excellent, with a wide choice for everyone. Everything is kept up well. It's especially suited to organized groups. Parking is free near the hotel and in the square next to it. The Sea of Kinneret and the Rabbi Meir Baal Hans site are both about a five-minute walk away.

The hilltop setting gives the hotel a beautiful view of the Galilea Sea. Getting there meant passing through a town. The hotel's surroundings don't have gardens or impressive fountains, though the building itself looks nice. We stayed for two nights, and it all seemed clean and organized; the staff were friendly. For our nighttime arrival, they had a place reserved for our group at dinner. The food was good, with lots of vegetables, cheeses, soups, breads, and fruit, all arranged and labeled. Breakfast at 7 a.m. was a very different experience. There were so many tour groups that the restaurant was extremely crowded, people kept bumping into each other, and we spent nearly ten minutes looking for a table. I've traveled in many countries and hadn't seen hotels this full before. This is my second visit to Israel, and I had the same experience the first time, so I understand that high tourist demand can make crowds normal here. If crowds bother you, maybe ask about occupancy when you call to book. The elevators are small and slow, and parking by the entrance is limited, so you may have to walk a little. Still, we're having a good experience, thank God, and have nothing to complain about.

The food was a highlight: both the breakfast and dinner buffets had lots to choose from, and everything we tried was tasty. The dessert displays looked lovely too. We stayed two nights in January and had a corner room with windows facing both the Sea of Galilee and the city. It was spacious and very comfortable, with beautiful views, and the shore was only a few minutes' walk away. The staff were friendly and patient. I left my glasses behind by accident, then contacted the hotel after I got home. They mailed them to me, and I'm very grateful.
