Rooms aren't clean, though they're cheap, and breakfast isn't worth paying extra for. Still, I liked how calm, frank, and direct Mithun was about the problems. There was no AC remote, and Mithun said the AC was broken. No water came from the shower, and Mithun said it was coming through the sink. I asked if coffee was available for breakfast, and Mithun said there wasn't any.
The owner was very hospitable and quickly sorted out a problem with the washroom. This guesthouse in Agartala has about 5-6 rooms, giving it a cozy boutique feel. It's budget-friendly, with decent accommodation, and I had a pleasant stay. A good choice for a comfortable stay at an affordable price.
Charulata may look a little plain beside the fancier places on the same street, but its staff are exceptionally friendly, cordial, homely, and helpful for a traditional hotel or guest house. Once you get to know Nandu, his banter and daily greetings are sure to cheer you up.
You can stay here with peace of mind. It has all the facilities, unlike the other big hotels.
This is a third-rate hotel with a rude owner and rude staff. Check carefully before you come here.
