Courtyard Agra

The location is lovely, and it’s just a quick car ride to the Taj Mahal. We stayed one night and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The hotel was spotless, with a nice lobby lounge and poolside area, and the accommodation, food, and service were all great. It felt polished but easy to relax in, and we left feeling rested and looked after. There were good breakfast choices, plus separate bar and coffee areas leading to the restaurant. It’d be easy to spend an afternoon or evening with a hot drink or cocktail, or sit quietly outdoors by the pool. Weddings and events make some parts busy. That didn’t bother us personally since we were out a lot, and when we were there, it added to the charm and elegant feel of this modern, lively hotel.

The room was spacious and very clean, with beds that were extremely comfortable. Breakfast and dinner both had a very good range of Indian and Western choices, and everyone we met on staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is also well placed for visiting the Taj Mahal. Our one complaint was the wedding happening during our stay. We could clearly hear the music from our room, and when we tried to nap in the afternoon before an early start, the music from the pool area was incredibly loud. Guests who aren’t attending weddings would be better off in rooms farther from the event areas.

We’ve held several occasions at Hotel Courtyard by Marriott Agra, from birthday parties and ring ceremonies to corporate events and business meetings. Most recently, we celebrated my sister’s ring ceremony there. The food and arrangements were top-notch, and the team planned and managed everything beautifully. Thanks to Mr Hemendra, Mr Ujjwal, Ms Brajna, and the support from Mr Honey and steward captain Mr Banwari. Thanks to the whole team 🫶

We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely one. We arrived in the evening and got an upgrade that included breakfast and dinner. The buffet dinner was superb, with lots of different dishes and cuisines to try, and the wait staff were attentive and helpful. We got up early for the Taj Mahal and came back to a wonderful breakfast with so many food and drink options. After some chaotic days, the hotel felt luxurious and peaceful from arrival to departure. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay in Agra.
