Hotel Atulyaa Taj

The check-in left a bad first impression. The receptionist on duty was rude and didn't offer a smile or basic courtesy, so my family felt like we weren't welcome guests. That was surprising given the otherwise good standards. The rooms at Atulya Taj Hotel were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the ambiance fit the rating. Apart from that front desk interaction, the service and facilities were up to the mark and made the stay enjoyable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, since first impressions matter. A friendlier, more professional reception would make the experience feel complete.

Afreen at reception was so warm and thoughtful that she asked about our itinerary and saved us from missing our Taj Mahal visit. The welcome started as soon as we arrived, check-in was smooth, the pool was sparkling clean, and the rooms were well managed. The food was impeccable too, especially the cafe food, which is a must try. If you find availability, just book it.

Mr. Ajit was very cooperative and quickly moved us to a better room when we asked. The location is especially convenient, just a 600m walk from the Taj Mahal East gate, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Our experience was decent, though the rooms didn't quite match the cost. Hotel Atulya Taj is a good choice if convenience is what you're after.

For a short stay I slept well enough. The pillow was soft, somewhere in the middle, and the shower worked, though water leaked into the rest of the bathroom. I've seen that in a lot of budget hotels in India. There was no hairdryer in the room, but at this price I can't complain too much. The hotel is basic, but it's excellent for visiting the Taj Mahal. It's around a 15-minute walk along a straight, flat road right to the entrance, so the location is very convenient. The building looks nice outside, and there's an old English-style café/bar next door. The area seemed pleasant and safe to walk through at night, and check-in was quick and easy. I'd stay again if I came back to see the Taj.
