At Hotel Avalon Taj, Agra, room service and housekeeping fell short. Even after reminders, basic toiletries weren't supplied. The room phone didn't work at all during our stay, so we had to call reception on our mobile each time. The line was often busy, and nobody called us back. For a hotel near such a major tourist spot, service needs serious improvement. Staff should respond better, and housekeeping should pay more attention to guests' comfort. The property has potential, but management needs to focus on customer care and basic amenities.

A budget option for a family, at under 1500/- for 3 pax. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the washroom is well maintained. Good hotel to stay.

The room smelled bad, and the blankets and bedsheets were dirty. Cupboard was dirty too, and none of the charging points worked properly. High cost for a stay that wasn't worth it. Worst experience.

The toilet and clothes were filthy, and the room boys gave the worst service. Cockroaches did a better job. Luckily we had brought cotton, so we were safe while sleeping. Please don't book a room here.

Getting to the Taj Mahal and Agra fort was easy. It's very close to the railway station and busstand too. Good people and a friendly atmosphere.
