Hotel Chanakya

The beds were untidy and unhygienic, and the overall upkeep and service fell well below basic standards. There was no hot water, even in January, and the bathroom was in terrible shape, with ceiling seepage and no basic items like a bucket or water heater. This was a very poor stay, one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and will never choose this property again.

The toilets in rooms 301 and 302 were filthy, and the hygiene was unacceptable. We also had no hot water, toiletries, or cleaning. Several sockets and switches didn’t work, so charging a phone or using basic appliances was impossible. We called reception repeatedly, but nobody came to sort it out. From the outside the hotel looked decent, but inside it was a complete disaster. I wouldn’t recommend it. A huge waste of money.

The location is the only good thing here. It’s easy to get to, but the rooms were in poor shape. The washroom smelled, was dirty and so unhygienic that it wasn’t even suitable for bathing. I asked to switch rooms, but the replacement had the same problems. The standard rooms all seem alike. Lighting was poor, the LEDs were fused, and the rooms didn’t feel welcoming. The staff weren’t very good either.

The online photos on cleartrip(.com) gave a very different impression. Inside, the rooms were in bad condition, the service was poor and the bathroom was awful. From outside the hotel looked fine, but indoors it was horrible. I was very disappointed.
