Hotel President

This budget-friendly hotel works well for a night or two. It’s on the main road, near an Agra metro station, and about 500 meters from the Taj Mahal. Rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms were clean, though they smelled all night. I had one water issue and had to call reception, the only drawback I faced. Parking is available for four wheelers. There’s a rooftop restaurant, but I didn’t think it was worth it, with better choices nearby. Rates were 2200 for a double room without breakfast, 2600 with breakfast, and 3500 for a family room with two double beds and no breakfast.

The location is quite good, close to the Taj, and the food was fresh and delicious. When I checked in, the toilet seats were soiled and the washrooms smelled of dead rats, which was very unpleasant. They did offer me a different room later.

The toilets smelled the whole time, which made them uncomfortable to use and really affected our stay. The hotel itself was okay and manageable, and being near the Taj Mahal was convenient. The rooftop cafe was good and had a view of the Taj Mahal, though watch out for monkeys.

Mr Dheeraj thakur at the front desk was really cooperative. The rooms were neat and clean, and the rooftop gave a good view of the Taj Mahal. Great location too, we had a fantastic stay.
