Hotel Solitaire

This hotel was creepy and dirty. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The rooms looked like they'd never been cleaned, the bathroom taps were corroded, the floors were dusty, and the towels were stained. Noise from the party hall and corridor made it impossible to sleep, and the monkeys were another problem. Just don't go there.

Food was the only good part of the venue. The walls were broken in several places, the carpet was very dirty, and the AC didn't work. Service was awful too. We had to explain every single thing repeatedly, and the event and decoration management was poor. During the event, they demanded extra charges for things like chairs, carpet, and other basics that they hadn't mentioned beforehand. I had a very bad experience and wouldn't recommend it.

I've stayed here for many years, and it remains my preferred choice. There's a homely atmosphere, spacious rooms, very nice staff, and delicious food with plenty of variety and good quality. The location is nice, right in the heart of the city. The washrooms need modernizing, repairs, and better cleaning. I've been suggesting for a long time that they replace the old bathroom accessories.

The restaurant serves great food for its price range, and the service is lovely. Rooms seem a bit expensive compared with other hotels, mainly because of the location. It's a good place to stay and eat if you're traveling for business or attending meetings, since it's near the business hub and railway station. I wouldn't recommend it to tourists, though. There aren't historical monuments nearby, and getting to your destination means dealing with city traffic.
