What stood out most was how clean and well cared for the place felt, and how calm and safe it was. The Taj Mahal is within walking distance in a straight line. The hosts were honest, straightforward, and genuinely welcoming, and we felt comfortable from the start. After some disappointing hotels in the area, this was a relief. Shiv Kothi Homestay is easily one of the best value options in Agra. We loved staying here and would recommend it for the cleanliness, honesty, and good value.

The family who live and work here are so kind, and the rooms are great. Breakfast was nice too, with plenty of decent lunch and dinner options nearby. I recommend taking their Taj Mahal tour for 1000 rupees. It made the visit much better, and the cost was fair. A great hotel for a stay in Agra, especially if you’re visiting the Taj Mahal.

We were ten Germans visiting Agra for the first time, and Shiv Kothi was just right for us. We only managed to arrive at 02.00 am, but the hosts were flexible and very accommodating. They also helped us find Adi, a German-speaking guide for the Taj Manager, and he was amazing. Definitely recommended and worth the money. Thanks for being so hospitable and flexible. 😊

The host speaks perfect English and German, and the breakfast was really nice. My girlfriend and I stayed at Shiv Kothi for two nights with a lovely, welcoming family. We felt at home as soon as we came in. They helped us plan our stay and answered all our questions.

The balcony has a beautiful view, and the rooms are clean. It’s well located for tourists, and the hospitable hosts make this a wonderful homestay. Staying here gives you the feeling of living in a big palace. I’d definitely recommend it 🙏🏼
