Hotel Kells

The road leading to the hotel was a mess, and JCB work went on all night, making the night miserable. Inside, the first room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned, so after we complained they moved us to one that was a little cleaner. Then we waited about an hour for its keys. The hotel was in a terrible state, there was no cleanliness, the staff were inactive, and the food was best left unmentioned. Not recommended at all.

The bed was comfortable, and the toiletries were great. The lobby looked beautiful, and the rooms were modern and very clean. Most of the staff were polite. But street noise came through even with the windows shut, and the room Wi-Fi was unreliable, although it worked fine in the lobby. With better soundproofing and a few other tweaks, this place could be fantastic.

The terrace view was the one thing I liked, and the lift was really fast. The hotel seems old, the beds and shower need renovation, and even the morning breakfast needs changing since they serve it cold. There’s no private parking either.

The view from the 10th floor is amazing, and the food and service are very good. There’s also a lovely walkway on top where you can catwalk.
