OYO 42047 Hotel Skyland

The people were nice, and I had no issue with room service. The room itself was another story. We’d booked an AC room, but the only one available had an AC that didn’t work. There was a wall fan, but it was very noisy. The washroom door wouldn’t shut properly, there was no hot water, and the toilet seat was held in place with metal wires. Its light was out too, so I had to use my flashlight. After coming straight from the Coldplay concert, that made me feel like I was still there. The jet spray was missing as well.

I’m absolutely dissatisfied with OYO. At about 6.00 in the morning, I reached hotel skyland with a confirmed booking, but they denied me a room. Highland hotel charged me rs. 700 directly, which I paid online while checking in. I had a similar experience through you in Alibaug last year, so booking this way has been uncomfortable both times. There’s also no phone contact with an OYO executive to sort things out. The way OYO handled this felt highly irresponsible, unprofessional, and disappointing.

We had booked two rooms, but the staff gave us just one and said the second would come later. We squeezed into that room, got ready, and went out. Since we never used the other room, we asked for a refund, but the response was poor. The staff member said, “We kept the room for you. You didn’t come, so what can we do?” People traveling obviously can’t stay at a hotel for 24 hours. A really bad experience.

The reception staff were very friendly and responsive, which was the one good thing. The location didn’t feel suitable for a family, and the rooms were extremely small with few basic facilities. The bathroom tap leaked, and only one of the four room lights worked. Once you’ve checked in, there’s no way to contact OYO, so be careful.
