Hotel Daaysco Oley Allo

After a week-long trip here, this was the best food I had in Guwahati and Shillong. The chicken sandwich was wow, and everything tasted so good for unreal prices. I paid 572 for aloo paratha with curd and butter, a chicken sandwich, and coffee. Thanks, much appreciated. Definitely recommended. I’d like to stay here someday too, and will come back.

Fancy Bazaar, with its affordable shopping, is nearby. I had a comfortable one-day stay and only wish it could have been longer. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. Staff were good, the dining hall was very nice, and the food was excellent with plenty of variety.

I was there for a two-day seminar, so I can't comment on the rooms. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and the lunch spread was good too. There are several halls on the 3rd and 9th floors for meetings, parties, and other personal or corporate events. It has an unusual name, but this was formerly Hotel Kiranshree Portico, in the city center near the railway station.

The food is the one issue: it’s expensive and not up to the mark. Prices have gone up recently. Otherwise, it's a good professional hotel with trained staff.
