The catering let the occasion down. The soups were watery and lacked flavor, the quesadillas were a little burnt, and most of the other dishes were surprisingly sweet, which made the meal feel unbalanced. I recently attended a wedding reception at Radhe Upvan Resort, and the experience was mixed. The venue itself is stunning, a huge party plot with a beautiful Bali-style entrance. The decorations were top-notch and gave the event a grand, elegant atmosphere, great for photos. I hope management takes a look at the food quality. Such a beautiful place deserves better food.

I’ve been to the restaurant at least four times before and had excellent food and service, but this visit was the complete opposite, especially when ordering and trying to share feedback about the food. Steward Sunil seemed to have a justification for every complaint about a dish. When we asked him to call the chef about one dish, he refused immediately and quite arrogantly. I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to friends as I’ve done before.

The recreation options include billiards, table tennis and carrom indoors, plus cricket and badminton outside. There’s also an outdoor pool with a separate kids’ pool, a fitness center and landscaped lawns. The Peacock serves a range of cuisines, with an emphasis on vegetarian and Jain food. Radhe Upavan Resort sits on the Ahmedabad-Mehmadabad Highway near Hathijan, within a large stretch of greenery covering over 110,000 square feet. It’s meant to offer a quiet break from the city, while Kankaria Lake is still a short drive away. The resort describes itself as a 4-star Ecotel with the feel of a modern club. Rooms and suites have teak furnishings. Options include Executive and Presidential Suites with private decks, garden views, roomy living areas and bathtubs; Club and Vintage Suites with a warm, intimate feel for business retreats or romantic stays; and Heritage Rooms that pair traditional styling with modern comforts, often with private balconies.

We paid a lot and got terrible service, poor food, amenities that didn’t work and almost no support. This place is badly run and nowhere near worth its price. The isolation makes late food service essential, but the restaurant had stopped operating after 10:30 PM and room service was also unavailable later on. We had no food options. What we could get was disappointing and severely overpriced. Wi-Fi didn’t work, mobile data was also unavailable because of the location, and we had a power cut during the stay. We arrived at night and asked for a golf cart, but none was provided. Making guests manage alone at night across such a large, remote property felt careless. The location itself is a major problem, especially at the rates they charge. This was one of the worst stays I’ve had, with neither the comfort nor service that was promised.
