Treebo The Square

The room and hotel looked nothing like the photos. It felt unhygienic, with urine spots on the toilet seat, mud on the floor, tobacco spit on the walls, dirty sheets, and a used towel. I asked to change rooms, but they only cleaned the washroom, which was fair enough. The hand shower was broken, the AC stopped working around 2 a.m., and the floor was messy, with pieces of wood coming loose. Service was slow, I didn't feel very safe there, and noise from other guests carried into my room. The food was okay.

I came to check out rooms for some friends. They were clean, but most had no windows, so there was no ventilation. It seems best suited to someone on a one- or two-day business trip alone.

The price was very reasonable, and the rooms were neat and clean. Service was nothing special, but the comfort and cleanliness made it good value. A solid option for travelers on a budget who still want a clean place.

We ended up leaving and finding another hotel because the rooms were so unpleasant. We had paid ₹8400 for two rooms, and they were full of flies and mosquitoes, with a bad smell throughout. The place seemed neglected and unhygienic. When I asked the manager for a refund, I was told to contact Agoda. Agoda sent me back to the hotel, and this back-and-forth felt dismissive and wore us out. We eventually gave up and moved elsewhere. We trusted the positive reviews and regret it. It’s upsetting to think fake reviews may mislead travelers. I’d avoid this place if basic hygiene and peace of mind matter to you.
