Hotel Furfura Darbar

The people here are good and the service is good, and being near the dargah makes staying here a reasonable option. But the rooms smell because there's no exhaust fan, and the rates are very high for the hotel's quality. You have to bargain to get a fair rate, and you'll need to compromise on quality.

The one real plus is the location, about two hundred meters from Khwaza Garib Nawaz' s dargah. The price is okay, but maintenance is very poor and it seems they don't care about their customers.

The staff were friendly and did their best to make our stay better. But the basement dining room and kitchen were awful, with rats on the floor and even on the ceiling while we ate. Furdura Darbar hotel stood out as a disaster compared with other hotels in the same price range during our two weeks in India. The room had no proper outside window, just one facing the hall, and it was near reception. Staff chatted loudly and shouted late into the night, so it was hard to sleep. Someone even ran a vacuum cleaner around midnight. My bed had someone else's hair on it and the sheet wasn't clean, and the only blanket was rough and made sleeping uncomfortable. I can't see a fix unless the manager or owner is ready to rebuild everything from scratch, which seems very unlikely. Fellow travellers should avoid Futura Darbar if possible.

Don't ever book this hotel, in my opinion. Once you're caught in the owner's trap of taking a room, there's no power, electricity or water, and they charge extra money while fooling people. The staff didn't look hygienic at all, like they hadn't washed themselves in ages, and there was no respect for customers. The reception counter was full of nuisance and fights. This place doesn't even deserve a one-star rating. Book OYO hotels instead.
