Tharavad Heritage Homestay has a lovely old character, with antique style furniture and a peaceful atmosphere. At night it was especially calm, and I had one of the best sleeps I've had in a long time. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the bathrooms super clean. We had a small issue at first because there was no hot water. Once I told the owner, he dealt with it right away and let us use two rooms, one comfortable room with excellent AC and a smart TV for sleeping, and another for hot water. That was a kind and thoughtful gesture. Uncle Joey (Joseph), the helper, was also so polite and kind. Whenever we called, he came quickly with a calm smile and was ready to help. As someone who loves tea, I was glad to have a kettle and tea available all day. It was sachet tea, but surprisingly good. Breakfast was delicious, with pineapple and banana, tea, idli, sambar and a chutney that was mild, balanced and mind-blowing. My 7-year-old daughter is usually fussy about food, but she enjoyed it, which made me happy. I loved our visit and would strongly recommend the homestay in Alleppey. I’ll definitely return with my family, hopefully for longer.
