Zostel Delhi

The hotel itself is fine, but the location isn't optimal, and you need to be careful outside because there are many tuk-tuk scammers around. One small, thin Indian man with black hair approached us, first offering a ride for 150 rupees and then trying to charge 1500. Be cautious when agreeing on nearby ride prices.

The room was a clean, comfortable dorm, and everyone at Zostel Delhi was welcoming. After I checked out, I realized I’d left my watch behind. Arshi, Tulsi, Gaurav, and Deepanshu tracked it down and even couriered it back to me. I really appreciated their honesty and the effort they made. Great atmosphere and service, I’d happily recommend staying here in Delhi.

The staff were polite and professional, which I really appreciated. I’ve stayed here twice, though my first visit was also my first time in a hostel, so the whole setup was new to me. I ate at the cafe too. The prices seemed fair, but there weren’t many choices that day. The washroom was my main concern because I spotted a couple of cockroaches. The location has its good and bad sides: it’s within walking distance of ndls, and Zostel is close to a wide main road, but the wider area feels questionable and is one of the shadier parts of delhi. I wandered around late myself and didn’t enjoy it. If you’re travelling solo, especially as a girl, I’d avoid walking around too late.

That street outside Zostel Delhi can get really packed, so getting into your Uber may take a quick hop. Even so, I felt safe inside, with a security guard at the entrance, and found the hostel comfortable, with a cool interior and great amenities. I stayed three days and was impressed by the hospitality and service. Sam was a wonderful host. I’d definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting the city.
