There were mosquitoes everywhere, and the extra bed felt like sleeping on stones. I also wouldn't trust Santosh with a shikara ride or hotel booking. The owner had confirmed a booking at his other homestay (Alleppey homestay) with a 24-hour checkout, then made a scene that evening and charged an extra half-day's rent. He also said it was peak season and booked a shikara ride for a higher amount. Not recommended at all.

The geyser was never switched on, with electricity costs given as the reason, and they ordered food from outside the hotel. The caretaker was extremely rude and didn't conduct himself appropriately with women. If you want a peaceful stay, it's wise to avoid this homestay. Better stay away.

The hosts were great, and the hospitality was top rated. Rooms and food were good, and the place felt very serene. It's right in the heart of the city, close to the beach, Lighthouse, and railway station, so getting around was easy.
