My main need was somewhere I could cook food for my 3 yrs old son. The host let me use the service kitchen, and that worked perfectly. The host was also very helpful and always around when we needed anything. The cottages have a little garden with coconut, sapodilla and guava trees, so it feels a bit like staying at a farmhouse. The finishing point is very close, handy if you're taking a houseboat. It's a little away from the main town, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Alleppy town and the beach are within a 4/5 kms radius. There are a few things to keep in mind. The rooms need maintenance: the shower panel was rusty and adjusting the water flow and temperature was difficult. The fridge wasn't clean, and you might occasionally see lizards or insects. For the price, it's a good package, as long as you remember this is a budget property and set your expectations accordingly. I booked the houseboat through them too, but I'll review that separately.
